Fairchild Industrial Products (Sichuan) Company Ltd. opened its headquarters in Chengdu, China.

2007
Fairchild India Private Ltd. opened its headquarters in New Delhi, India

1990
Relocated to West Point Blvd., Winston-Salem, North Carolina (current location).

1964
Moved to Fairchild Drive, Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

1953
Purchased Speed Control Corporation of Wickliffe, Ohio.

1927
Sherman Fairchild formed Fairchild Aviation Corporation to provide a suitable aircraft that would accommodate his aerial photography equipment. He began the development and manufacture of airplanes and soon became the largest supplier of civilian transport aircraft in the country and the nation’s largest manufacturer of commercial aircraft.

1920
Sherman Mills Fairchild founded Fairchild Aerial Camera Corporation. Sherman Fairchild started in the aviation business by designing high speed, between-the-lens shutter aerial cameras.
